MAJOR Service Project - November 7!
The residents of Country View Estates Mobile Home Park in Roanoke have been asked to leave their homes no later than February. The people in these homes are our neighbors, and they are in need. So we're going to do everything we can.
Saturday, November 7 will be a work day for anyone who wants to participate. We are helping a woman named Olga prepare her mobile home to be moved, which primarily means painting, as well as a few other minor repairs. We will also provide lunch for Olga and her neighbors that day. Here are a few ways you can help:
1. Sign up for one of the two-hour painting shifts on November 7. You can message Rob Carmack (rob@collectivechurch.net) to state your shift preference. The shifts will be as follows: 8:30-10:30; 10:30-12:30; 1:30-3:30.
2. Sign up to help power wash Olga's home on Wednesday, November 4.
3. Sign up to help set up and serve lunch on November 7.
This is a big project, and we need as many people as possible. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbors to help out.
We are also still collecting gas and grocery gift cards for Olga and her neighbors.
